Violet, red and near-infrared: they’re among the most studied wavelengths in light research.

Here's the part most people miss: the edges are the parts you can't see.

A typical screen combines red, green and blue to create its images. That is useful for displaying your world, but it is a different light source from daylight.

A visible red glow with near-infrared light. Choose it for your evening setup alongside your phone’s night display settings. The mode changes the accessory’s light, not the screen.

Best for: evenings, late texts, reading before bed.

Invisible

Near-infrared is light you cannot see. This mode keeps those channels on without a visible glow — the bar can look off while it is running.

Best for: bedrooms, movie nights, minimalist desks.

Long-press Mode to switch light modes. Short-press to choose 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% brightness. The bar remembers your last setting.

Why we built it

I'm a photographer. I've spent twenty years studying light: how it falls, how it changes, what it does to the people standing in it. Then I started measuring my phone, and I didn't like what I saw. Three narrow slices of color, and none of the light the sun gives us. So we built a light that clips onto the screen you already hold all day.

Questions people ask before buying

When will my preorder ship?

Preorders ship the first week of December 2026. This is the dispatch window; delivery time depends on the destination.

Will this work with my phone?

Designed for phones with the rear camera on the left, like most iPhones. Every iPad model is compatible. See the compatibility checklist above.

Is it safe to have it clipped on all day?

Follow the Owner’s Manual. Keep the bar at least 10 inches (25 cm) from your face and do not stare into the LEDs. For a medical condition, pregnancy or medication that increases light sensitivity, consult a health professional first.

Does it work with a phone case on?

We recommend removing your case before clipping it on, for the most secure and stable fit.

I already own SpectraFill For Monitor. Why get this too?

Because your desk isn't the only place you're on a screen. Monitor stays plugged in above your display; Mobile runs on battery and clips onto whatever's actually in your hand — the couch, the kitchen, the airport gate.

Why can't I see the near-infrared?

Because human eyes can't. 760, 810 and 830 nm sit outside the visible range. In Invisible mode the bar looks switched off while those channels keep running.

Do I need to charge it separately?

Yes. Allow about 4 hours for the first full charge using the included USB-C cable and a 5V source. Do not use fast charging. The device does not operate while charging; unplug before use.

Does it drain my phone's battery?

No. SpectraFill™ Mobile runs on its own rechargeable battery. Your phone's battery isn't touched.

Is the light bright or distracting?

You choose. Four brightness levels (25–100%), and Invisible mode uses near-infrared only, so the bar looks off while it works.

Does it add a lot of bulk?

It weighs 62.3 g and clips on or off in seconds.

Who shouldn't use this?

Keep away from children under 12. If pregnant, on light-sensitizing medication, or managing a medical condition, check with a health professional before use.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Warranty?

A 24-month limited warranty from purchase for the original buyer. It covers manufacturing defects and component, LED, battery and USB-C port faults under normal use.
