Lux meters — measuring intensity, not just brightness

Serious trackers log exposure against a timeline, not just a total, because the two aren't interchangeable.

The most advanced trackers still log something simple alongside all the instrumentation: how they actually feel — energy, alertness, sleep quality — on a consistent scale, day over day. Data without a felt outcome to correlate against is just numbers. The people who get the most out of tracking are the ones cross-referencing objective measurements against how their own body actually responds.

The bigger pattern

Tracking light isn't about turning wellness into another spreadsheet for its own sake. It's about replacing guesswork with information — the same instinct that drives every other serious optimization practice.
