Omega Quant Vitamin D Home Test Kit - with Collection Kit, Vitamin D Test | Accurate Results, Validated Methods, Certified Lab, Fast Results
About this item
- VITAMIN D HOME TEST: Measures Vitamin D levels through a few drops collected at home. Collect your sample at home, mail the Test Request Form and receive results in 2-4 weeks.
- VALIDATED AND CERTIFIED: The validated and standardized sample processing methodology traceable to National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST). All samples are processed in a central certified laboratory.
- WHY DO WE NEED VITAMIN D?: As with all nutrients, our bodies need vitamin D from the environment (through food or sunlight in this case) to function properly. Vitamin D has a particularly important role in helping with calcium absorption.
- HOW MUCH VITAMIN D DO WE NEED?: We recommend aiming for a Vitamin D level >30 ng/ml. Some people may be able to reach this level through exposure to the sun, while some may achieve it through a high-fish diet and fortified foods, and others may take a supplement.
- WHEN SHOULD WE TAKE A VITAMIN D TEST?: You can take a Vitamin D test any time. This test is a long-term stable view of your Vitamin D intake and will not be affected by any short-term dietary or supplementary changes. A test will simply tell you if your diet is delivering enough Vitamin D to maintain an optimal level.
