Stimulates neuropsin (OPN5), a violet-light receptor whose peak sensitivity sits precisely at 380nm — found in the eye, skin, and brain. Research links violet light at this wavelength to healthy refractive development of the eye, and identifies OPN5 in the body's light-based regulation of circadian rhythm and metabolism.
